MMM 3/30/09

It all started with this line in an email: Belize - Caye Caulker - April 24 to April 29 - VERY inexpensive!!!!! Our friend, Dave Rein, sent this out Friday morning. About 10 hours later, 3 couples had figured out babysitting and made airline arrangements. We have a villa we are looking into and hope to have that booked early this week. Crazy, fun, and I am so excited! Russ and Dave will be scuba diving and Belfy and us girls will be snorkeling and enjoying the warm, sandy beaches. 25 days until we leave, but I got the suitcases out last night!

Friday night, our old neighbors and dear friends from Rochester, the Flicek's, arrived at our house for the weekend. Trent had been talking about Ethan all weekend and so excited for him to come and play video games and star wars battles with him. Skylar is getting so big and she is quite the little talker! Saturday, Shawn and I made the must-do trek to Albertville for some outlet shopping. The guys hate this, yet, so much better for us girls to do it together then for them to be dragged along. We did make them bring the kids up to Stride Rite for a little shoe shopping after dinner however. Can't pass by a sale like that!

Sunday we bid good-bye to the Flicek's in the morning, and then Russ and I worked on the basement. I finally got down there to vacuum up the mess from the wiring and Russ continued to work on the plumbing and some wiring for outside in what will eventually be the 3-season porch. The kids played outside for a good chunk of the afternoon and then Grandpa & Grandma Leeder joined us for dinner after their visit in Spicer with Grandma & Gramdpa Soukup! Busy, busy weekend! And it was an early night to bed for all of us!
